The project idea of the paths that intertwine to create a central node is inspired by the tradition of the great Swiss parks, within which the villa dominated.
Villa Viarnetto is strengthened as the central fulcrum of the entire system and is in dialogue with the extension of the bar/restaurant and the new building, creating a trinomial that circumscribes and delimits the gentle slope of the southern part of the park. The pergola, reminiscent of the one existing in the original garden of the villa, is an element of continuity and transition between landscape and architecture.
The paths are organized according to a three-level hierarchy. The first path in a ring, crosses the entire park touching the main connections of the neighborhood, inside the spaces are open and neutral. The second path covers the outer spaces of this belt and connects the specific functions located in these areas. The third path draws transversal connections within the park. The whole system draws a sequence of rooms and spaces that are different from each other but in close relation.
